How did we choose these clinics?

We included clinics where a named surgeon practises plastic surgery in Singapore and where we could confirm the surgeon’s qualifications, clinic location and services from the clinic’s own website or a hospital’s published doctor profile. We did not use reviews, ratings or payments to decide who appears.

The list is alphabetical and is not a ranking. Inclusion is not an endorsement of any surgeon or procedure. Our criteria were:

  • A named surgeon who describes their practice as plastic surgery.
  • Published qualifications, such as FAMS, FRCS or MOH accreditation, stated by the clinic or a hospital profile.
  • A clinic location in Singapore, published by the clinic or its medical centre.
  • Facts we could check on the date shown, 15 October 2026.

Three entries (Aesthetic & Reconstructive Centre, Ivor J. Lim Plastic Surgery and W Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) are based on Mount Elizabeth listings rather than the clinics’ own websites. We did not check the Singapore Medical Council register for each surgeon, so please do that yourself before booking. The steps are in the FAQ below.

Where do the listed surgeons practise?

Seven of the nine listed clinics sit in specialist medical centres in Novena and Orchard, and one is in Farrer Park. The table shows each clinic’s named surgeon and location as published. The operation itself may take place at a hospital or day surgery centre elsewhere.

How do you choose a plastic surgery clinic in Singapore?

Start with the surgeon, not the clinic name. Confirm they are registered as a specialist in plastic surgery, that they regularly perform the procedure you want, and that the operating venue is a licensed hospital or day surgery centre. Then compare written quotes.

  • Registration: search the surgeon on the SMC register and check that plastic surgery is listed as their specialty.
  • Procedure focus: some surgeons publish dedicated pages for specific procedures. Ask how often they perform yours.
  • Venue: ask where the operation happens, what type of anaesthesia is used and who gives it.
  • Aftercare: ask about follow-up appointments, who to call after hours and what happens if further treatment is needed.
  • Overseas patients: if you are travelling to Singapore, ask how many days you need to stay and how follow-up works once you return home.

Take your time. A consultation is a chance to ask questions, and you should not feel pressed to book surgery on the same day.

What should you ask at a consultation?

Ask what the procedure involves, what the risks and recovery look like for you, what the fee covers and who will perform every part of the operation. Write the answers down and ask for printed information to take home.

  • Who performs the surgery, and who assists?
  • Where will it take place, and will I stay overnight?
  • What are the main risks, and how are complications managed?
  • How long is recovery before I can work, exercise or travel?
  • What does the quote include, and is GST included?
  • What happens if I need further treatment later?

What does plastic surgery cost in Singapore?

Plastic surgery fees in Singapore vary by procedure, surgeon, venue, anaesthesia and aftercare. None of the nine clinics’ pages we reviewed showed fixed prices, so the practical step is to ask each clinic for a written, itemised quote after consultation.

When comparing quotes, check that each one covers the same items:

  • the surgeon’s fee;
  • the anaesthetist’s fee;
  • hospital or day surgery centre charges;
  • implants or devices, where used;
  • medication and compression garments;
  • follow-up visits;
  • GST.

Cosmetic procedures are generally not claimable under MediSave or MediShield Life. Some reconstructive procedures that a doctor certifies as medically necessary, such as surgery after an injury or cancer treatment, may be claimable. Ask the clinic to check eligibility and confirm with your insurer before you commit.

Frequently asked questions

Do plastic surgery clinics charge for a consultation?

Specialist clinics in Singapore usually charge a consultation fee, and each clinic sets its own. We did not find published consultation fees on the pages we reviewed for the nine clinics here, so ask when booking whether the fee is deducted if you go ahead with surgery.

How do I check a plastic surgeon’s registration?

Search the doctor’s name on the Singapore Medical Council’s online register of doctors. Check that their registration is current and that plastic surgery appears as their specialty. Qualifications such as FAMS or FRCS on a clinic website are useful, but the register is the official record.

What is the difference between a plastic surgeon and an aesthetic doctor?

A plastic surgeon has completed specialist surgical training and is registered as a specialist in plastic surgery. Aesthetic doctors are often general practitioners who offer non-surgical treatments such as injectables and lasers. For an operation, look for a registered plastic surgeon.

Can I use MediSave for plastic surgery?

Generally not for cosmetic procedures. Reconstructive surgery that is medically necessary may qualify for MediSave or insurance claims, depending on the procedure and your policy. Ask the clinic to check eligibility and confirm with your insurer in writing before surgery.

Where does plastic surgery take place in Singapore?

Operations take place in hospitals or licensed day surgery centres. SWENG Plastic Surgery states its Farrer Park clinic is an MOH-accredited day surgery centre, and Pearl Plastic Surgery says Dr Pearlie Tan operates at six hospitals. Ask your surgeon which venue they will use and why.

Is this list a ranking?

No. Clinics are listed A to Z with factual details from their own websites or hospital profiles, checked on 15 October 2026. Inclusion is not a recommendation, so check registration and consider getting more than one opinion.
