Female gynaecologists in Singapore (2026)

To find a female gynaecologist in Singapore, book directly with a private O&G practice led by a woman specialist, or ask a public hospital such as KKH for a female doctor. Before booking, check the doctor on the Singapore Medical Council register, match her subspecialty to your need, and confirm which hospital she delivers or operates at.

Below are eight private practices, listed A to Z, each led by or including a female specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist. Every detail comes from the practice’s own website, the SMC register or KKH, checked on 7 October 2026. We do not rank medical providers.

How do I find a female gynaecologist in Singapore?

Start with what you need: pregnancy care, a screening test, a specific condition or fertility help. Shortlist female O&G specialists whose stated interests match, check each on the SMC register, and ask about fees and hospital arrangements before your first visit.

Most private practices take bookings by phone or WhatsApp without a referral. Many sit in specialist centres attached to private hospitals, so if you are pregnant, ask early which hospital she delivers at, because hospital charges usually make up most of the bill.

How do I check a gynaecologist’s registration and specialist accreditation?

Search her name on the Singapore Medical Council’s online register. It lists every doctor with a valid practising certificate, and shows whether she is on the specialist register for obstetrics and gynaecology. Qualifications such as MRCOG, FRCOG, MMed (O&G) and FAMS are listed on practice websites, but the register is the official check.

Search free at the SMC Professional Registration System and look for the specialty entry, not just a medical degree.

Which subspecialty should I look for?

Every O&G specialist covers general pregnancy and gynaecology care, but many declare an area of focus. The table sorts the practices on this page by the interests they state.

Should I see a female gynae privately or at a public hospital?

Private practice lets you choose a named female specialist and book quickly, at a higher fee. Public hospitals such as KKH charge less when you are referred for subsidised care; self-referred and walk-in patients pay non-subsidised rates. Ask how a request for a female doctor is handled.

Subsidised rates at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital need a referral from a polyclinic, a public A&E or a CHAS GP. Figures are for Singapore Citizens, include GST and exclude tests and medicines (KKH outpatient charges, effective 8 August 2026).

How much does a first consultation with a female gynaecologist cost?

Of the eight private practices here, only Raffles Women’s Centre publishes a fee: S$250.70 for a first specialist consultation, with GST, plus a S$21.80 practice cost. The others quote on enquiry. At KKH, a private first visit starts from S$170.48 and subsidised visits from S$37.20.

Prices were checked on 7 October 2026 (Raffles Women’s Centre fees). Scans, Pap smears, tests and medicines are usually billed separately, so ask for an estimate when you book.

Frequently asked questions

Can I ask for a female gynae in Singapore?

Yes. In private practice you choose your specialist, so you can book a female obstetrician and gynaecologist directly. At a public hospital, ask when you book.

Do I need a GP referral to see a female gynaecologist?

Not for a private clinic. A referral from a polyclinic, a public A&E or a CHAS GP is what qualifies you for subsidised rates at KKH.

How do I check that a doctor is a registered O&G specialist?

Search her name on the Singapore Medical Council’s online register, which shows registration, practising certificate status and any accredited specialty.

Is a female gynecologist the same as an obstetrician?

O&G specialists are trained in both: obstetrics covers pregnancy and birth, gynaecology the reproductive system. Some focus on one area, such as fertility or keyhole surgery.

Why are the practices listed A to Z?

picked.sg does not rank medical providers. Practices are listed alphabetically with facts from their own websites.
