How did we choose these locksmiths?
We compared locksmiths on five things you can check yourself on their websites: published prices, clear opening hours, range of services, stated credentials and insurance, and contact details. We did not use ratings, review counts or paid placement, and none of these businesses paid to be listed.
- Published prices: whether the locksmith lists prices or price ranges on its own site, so you know roughly what to expect before you call.
- Clear hours: whether opening hours are stated plainly and consistently. A locksmith that is not open when you are locked out is no help.
- Range of services: homes and offices, digital locks, safes, gates, roller shutters and cars.
- Stated credentials and insurance: what each company says about training, association membership and liability insurance. We report these as the company’s own statements.
- Contact details: a published address, phone number and business registration number.
Several well-known names that appear on other roundups are not here because we could not open and check their own websites, or because the details we found conflicted and we could not confirm them.
How much does a locksmith cost in Singapore?
Most Singapore locksmiths do not publish prices. Of those that do, First Locks lists S$100 to S$150 to open a lock without damage and S$200 for emergency door opening, while 24/7 Locksmith Singapore starts from S$80. Neither site says whether GST is included.
These are the prices published on the locksmiths’ own websites, checked on 19 October 2026. The final bill depends on the lock, whether it is damaged, the time of day and any parts you need.
| Locksmith | Job | Published price |
|---|---|---|
| First Locks | Fixed rates (general) | From S$39 |
| First Locks | Opening a lock without damage | S$100 to S$150 |
| First Locks | Opening without a key | S$150 to S$250 |
| First Locks | Emergency door opening | S$200 |
| First Locks | Opening a damaged lock | S$300 to S$500 |

| Vincent, Ketch, 1&1, A Star, Nexus | All jobs | Price on enquiry |
First Locks also says it charges no extra transport or call-out fee and quotes before starting work. A MoneySmart roundup published about a year ago gave lower starting figures for opening a regular door, such as First Locks from S$39 and 24/7 Locksmith Singapore from S$50. Treat older third-party figures as a rough guide and always ask for a quote before the locksmith starts.
Which Singapore locksmiths are open 24 hours?
1&1 24Hrs Locksmith and A Star Locksmith both state 24-hour service every day, and 24/7 Locksmith Singapore advertises round-the-clock help. Vincent Locksmith and Ketch Locksmiths keep set hours, so check the clock before you call, and ask about any after-hours surcharge.
| Locksmith | Hours stated on its own site |

What should you check before calling a locksmith?
Check that the locksmith is open now, works on your type of lock, will quote before starting and says what is included. Then confirm the business details. A few minutes of questions on the phone can save you a surprise bill or a wasted trip.
- Your lock type: digital locks, gates, glass doors, roller shutters, safes and car locks are not covered by every firm. Name the brand if it is a digital lock.
- Opening or replacing: ask whether they will try to open the lock without damage first. Vincent Locksmith, for example, says it replaces locks only when needed.
- A quote first: ask for the price, including any transport, call-out or after-hours charge, before work begins, and whether GST is included.
- Warranty: ask what is covered if a replaced lock fails. First Locks states a 6-month warranty on parts and products.
- Key copies: not every locksmith duplicates keys. Vincent Locksmith does not duplicate keys or access cards.
- Business details: a registered business number lets you look the company up on ACRA’s Bizfile before you let someone into your home.
Which locksmith suits a digital lock problem?
Most locksmiths on this list say they handle digital locks, including emergency access when one fails. For brand-specific work, Ketch names Samsung, Yale, Kaadas, Philips and Igloohome, and A Star Locksmith can convert a digital lock back to a mechanical one.
First Locks names Yale, Kaadas and Samsung, and 24/7 Locksmith Singapore names Samsung, Yale and Gateman for installation. Nexus Locksmiths and Ketch also list digital lock repair, installation or removal. If your digital lock keeps failing and you would rather go back to a key, A Star’s dedicated removal and replacement service is the most specific offer we found.
