How we pick
Every shortlist on picked.sg is built against the same four published criteria: results you can check, prices in writing, real public reviews, and licences and credentials. We use public information only, show the date we checked it, and say on each list when businesses on it may be clients of this site's publisher.
The four criteria
01
Results you can check
We look for work a reader can verify: named case studies, portfolios, before and after data, or outcomes described on a public page. Claims with nothing behind them count for nothing.
What we check: Public case studies, named clients, portfolio pages.
02
Prices in writing
A business that publishes its prices, or a clear price range, makes comparison easier. Every price we show has a source and the date we checked it.
What we check: Price pages, rate cards, published packages, with source and date.
03
Real public reviews
We use the Google rating and review count as they appear in public, with the date we checked them. We never write reviews, invent ratings or use reviewer personas.
What we check: Google rating, number of reviews, date checked.
04
Licences and credentials
Where a licence or qualification applies, we check it against the public register: MOM licence numbers for maid agencies, doctors' qualifications, lawyer admissions.
What we check: Public registers, licence numbers, stated qualifications.
Selection process
- We list the Singapore businesses that offer the service, from public sources.
- We check each one against the four criteria and record the source and date for every fact.
- We publish the shortlist with a comparison table, a short note on who each business suits, and the date it was last updated.
- We re-check listings on a rolling basis and update the page when something changes.
Medical and legal providers
We do not rank clinics, doctors or lawyers. Pages for these providers list them alphabetically with facts only: qualifications, location, opening hours and published prices where available. Each page also explains what to ask before you choose.
Who runs this site
Some businesses listed on picked.sg may be clients of this site's publisher. Every list where that applies says so next to the list.
